Culvita Mediterranean Potting Soil

Plants from countries around the Mediterranean are highly popular among garden enthusiasts. Their appearance and ambiance often evoke a holiday feeling. Mediterranean plants have specific requirements for their potting soil, as they grow slowly and often remain in the same pot or container for long periods. It is essential that the potting soil remains airy and contains the right components for optimal water management.

Suitable for:
Culvita Mediterranean Potting Soil is ideal for palms, olive trees, fig trees, citrus plants, and other Mediterranean plants.

Not suitable for:
Do not use for acid-loving plants.

Properties:
Culvita Mediterranean Potting Soil is a blend of the finest peat types mixed with coconut grit to create an optimal growing medium. Clay is added for improved water retention, and lime is included to achieve the correct pH level. Nutrients come from a special NPK fertilizer with trace elements, providing sufficient nourishment for the first six weeks. Additionally, an organic fertilizer is included to sustain plants for the first six months.

Culvita Mediterranean Potting Soil also contains RhizoPlus, a mixture of mycorrhizae and other rhizosphere bacteria and fungi. The addition of RhizoPlus enhances nutrient and water uptake, promotes plant health, and supports the plant’s natural balance.

Although this product contains fertilizer, additional feeding will eventually be necessary, depending on the needs of your plants.

Application:

• Remove the plant’s root ball from its pot and shake off loose soil.
• Use only clean pots. Clean the new pot and soak it in water for a while.
• Place a shard over the drainage hole and spread a layer of Culvita Mediterranean Potting Soil in the pot. Position the plant on top.
• Fill the pot to the rim and add some soil around the root ball. Lightly press the soil down. Firmly press the soil along the edges.
• Water according to the plant’s needs.

For improved drainage, it is recommended to add a layer of Culvita Hydro Granules at the bottom of the pot.
